Our Story and Philosophy

Nurturing Dancers, Inspiring the Community

For over twenty years, Studio Dance Inc. has served as the premier provider of dance education in Dallas, GA, and the greater Paulding County area.

Founded by Kristen with a vision to create a safe, uplifting space for movement, our studio has grown into a vibrant community where dancers of all ages discover their potential.

We believe that dance education is about far more than teaching flawless technique and stage presence. Our true mission is to encourage our students to become responsible, respectful, and dedicated citizens both inside the studio walls and out in the world.

From your toddler’s very first creative movement class to our elite, nationally recognized competitive companies, every single child who walks through our doors brings something unique to our studio family. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to teach them.

Meet the Team

Owner & Director

Kristen Senecal

Kristen Senecal is the Owner and Director of Studio Dance, Inc., now celebrating its 25th season. Originally from Long Island, New York, Kristen grew up dancing and training before moving to Atlanta in 1987 and continues to pursue dance education and training today. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Georgia. Prior to opening Studio Dance, Inc., she spent five years as a classroom teacher at Shelton Elementary School in Paulding County, bringing her background as an educator into the philosophy and foundation of SDI.

With a strong background in both education and dance, Kristen believes in nurturing the whole child through developmentally appropriate instruction, meaningful relationships, and high-quality training. Her teaching philosophy centers on creating an environment where dancers are challenged to work hard, lead with kindness, build confidence, and develop a genuine love for learning and movement.

Kristen is deeply invested in her students, staff, and community and has worked to make SDI a place where dancers are known, supported, and encouraged to grow both in and outside of the studio. She places a strong emphasis on technical excellence and well-rounded training across genres while maintaining an age-appropriate and positive learning environment.

Kristen teaches ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical and has a particular passion for technique training. She specializes in helping dancers of all ages and levels strengthen their technical foundation, refine their skills, and continue progressing throughout every stage of their dance education. As Studio Dance, Inc. celebrates its 25th season, Kristen is excited to continue growing alongside the dancers, families, and community that have made SDI what it is today.
